There were some children singing a song
I could never know.
At first I thought it was a foreign song
but it’s a shouting no story
I tried to find out the meaning
so that song makes sense for me to listen
But soon I noticed myself singing it
without any reason.
KAWAKAME! KAWAKAME! KAWAKAME! KAWAKAME!
There was a boy who keeps banging a trash can
to make some kinda rhythm.
At first I thought it was “something”
but found out a crushed tin from a bin
I took my drum out and began
to follow his hands to rhythm
We were blinking at different pace
but we were living same rhythm.
KAWAKAME! KAWAKAME! KAWAKAME! KAWAKAME!
There is a guy who sweep violin string
made of abandoned steel wires
At first I thought it’s such a fiddle
but it only played sounds of doremi.
I tried to laugh away but I couldn’t pass him
by for some strange reason
It looked like he was just playing,
but it was some music I’ve never heard.
KAWAKAME! KAWAKAME! KAWAKAME! KAWAKAME!
