나는 주님께 나비 떼를 구했으나
주님은 무서운 벌레 떼 내게 주셨다네
나는 이해할 수 없었네 무서워 떨었네
절망 속에 홀로 눈물 흘렸네

어느 날 갑자기 나는 보았네
그 황홀한 꽃 선인장에서
무서운 벌레 나비되어 날으네
오 놀라워라 주의 인도
I asked the Lord
for a bunch of fresh flowers
But instead, He gave me an ugly cactus
with many thorns
I asked the Lord for some
beautiful butterflies
But instead, He gave me many worms
I was threatened, I was disappointed,
I could not feel His hand in mind

But after many days, suddenly
I saw the cactus with beautiful flowers,
and those worms
became beautiful butterflies,
flying in the spring wind.
