Ebb And Flow
By Frank Peter Hermsen
I´ve always been told to swim with the stream
To spend my life in the old fashioned way
Of growing up and proving your worth
In being tested every day
But I used to believed in a better world
Believed in a force that noone knows
Cause deep in my doubts a voice on my mind
Said there´s something between ebb and flow
Take my heart and lead me
To the land between ebb and flow
The world between day and night
The place between yes and no
Deep in the forest of my mind
Is a lonely glade behind eternal walls
But each time that I try to understand
The ledder breaks and I can´t help to fall
I use to search for doors or windows
Turn my mind into an object of woe
And deep inside I shurly know
The entrance is between ebb and flow
Take my heart and lead me
To the land between ebb and flow
The world between day and night
The place between yes and no
I do want to meet the power
That makes winter turn into spring
And I want to scale the tower
From which the banshee sings
Yes I do want to meet the man
Who created you and me
Ask him some questions
´Bout how to live how to be
Take my heart and lead me
To the land between ebb and flow
The world between day and night
The place between yes and no
